DIAGRAMS

These are the diagrams that I produce for my insta|scape and jury. The first one emphasizes the idea to relate my first 3 seperate maps, the second one is about my strategy and the last one shows the placement of the instaces on the relief. According to my critiques, there is a problem with the last one. It tells that the total space of the instances are not changing but the number of the planes is changing. Actually, I did not study on the number of planes, I study with the distance between the planes. blog6

The summary of my whole process:

My combination is movement of surface and I focused on the flow of objects with the shadows on them. The most overlapped zones are my cores.

My strategy is to align my instances on the same line passing between the cores. And I decided to study on the expression of being compressed of spaces. I produced 4 instances having different degrees of being compressed. I placed the most compressed one on the most compressed part of my field in terms of the number of planes and the least compressed one on the least part. The semi ones ones are placed between them.

To reflect the effect of my cores on instances, I also rotate my cores toward the insta-axis. The planes providing spaces and the spaces take references from the cores.

Some of my hinges on the instances come from the ruptures on the field. I used these same hinges throughout my project.

I gave the thickness to the folded planes that are providing the most compressed space in that instance.

I used texture tool to my C-shape planes because they say something different in terms of spatial qualities. They give expression of enveloping.
